Join the team that is helping Arizona Public Service’s (APS) commercial and industrial customers save energy and money. Since 2006, KEMA Services Inc. has been retained by APS to manage its Solutions for Business incentive and training programs. KEMA Services, Inc. is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, and is a leader in demand side management, energy efficiency and green building practices, with over 250 energy professionals in offices throughout the United States.
KEMA Services, Inc. is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to be based in Phoenix, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for K-12 schools Outreach, Technical Assistance and program participation.
Tasks will include
Key responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Site visits and “walk through assessments” of schools throughout the state of Arizona to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
- Technical assistance of school districts throughout the incentive application process
- Inspections to verify equipment
- Budget management and tracking of performance against goals.
- Working closely with KEMA team to monitor program results and quality and to develop recommendations to improve the program as needs are identified.
- Presentations to a variety of organizations including school districts, trade allies, trade associations
- Preparation of written reports.
- Energy savings calculations and application reviews
What we're asking
Requirements include a degree in an engineering area or equivalent; a minimum of five years of energy efficiency experience; strong communication skills as demonstrated by experience with presentations, papers or other public forums; strong report-writing skills; budget management experience; and computer skills including MS Office, with exceptional skills in Excel. An energy efficiency background with a solid knowledge of energy efficient technologies and practices is required.
