The Drafter will be responsbile for the following:
Assist Design Engineering Team with Site Visits,
Determine local and national code requirements;
Develop detailed drawings of system components for construction and installation
Assist Engineering Teams with System Design
Assist Engineering Team with Drafting of system plans
Create Bills of Materials from plans
Interface with local building officials to obtain building permits.
Creation and Maintenance of REC Solar’s CAD Standards
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years engineering experience with knowledge of power systems design, construction, and/or operation;
Knowledge of commercial construction;
Ability to effectively communicate with engineering and construction teams.
Strong Proficiency in drafting using AutoCAD software;
Excellent computing skills: MS applications;
Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with designing and/or constructing solar electric systems;
Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
Experience with 3-D modeling
Experience with producing CAD standards
Experience with Material Takeoffs in CAD Software
