Sedona, Arizona Thanksgiving Weekend Camping Trip, Wednesday, November 25 through Sunday, November 29, 2009, For Jewish Singles and Couples

Highlights include breathtaking hiking, touring the city of Sedona, and visiting the famous vortexes (giant magnets of energy) that attract people worldwide for meditative and spiritual purposes. We’ll visit one of the luxurious nearby spas. Time permitting, we'll visit the ancient ruins of the Palatki and Honanki Heritage Sites built into the walls of Red Canyon. We will be camping in the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon area. All you need is a sleeping bag, pad and tent (or you can share one).
Lodging Option: For anyone who loves the outdoors but doesn’t like tenting, there are motel options close to the campground, including Comfort Inn, Kings Ransom and La Quinta. If you choose this option, you will need to make your own reservations.
Cost is $190 early bird (by Monday, November 9), including campsite fees, camping gear, supplies, and all meals (kosher and delicious, including salmon, chicken and pasta, with a vegetarian option for those who request it in advance); $215 thereafter. Space is limited. Reserve your spot early. Cost of transportation via carpool is not included, nor is any possible day-use national forest fee for certain hikes and archeological sites, as well as the spa charge. Transportation is via carpool; cost will be shared among carpoolers. Sedona is about 425 miles from Los Angeles.
