The non-profit Phoenix Film Festival is seeking a Sponsorship Director for the upcoming Festival. The Sponsorship Director will report directly to the Festival Director and will lead the organization’s fundraising effort. Working with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, the Development Director will manage the sales of corporate sponsorships for the 10th Anniversary of the Phoenix Film Festival.
The Phoenix Film Festival will be held April 8 to April 15, 2010 but has already begun the process of sponsorship recruitment. This is a prime opportunity to get involved with a first class event. This position is on a commission basis, but has the potential to be a lucrative business opportunity for a person with ambition and enthusiasm.
The Phoenix Film Festival is a program of the 501c3 non-profit Phoenix Film Foundation which was founded in 2000. The Foundation has been instrumental on reviving film in Phoenix and innovative in providing access to films that the public would otherwise not be able to see.
The position requires a person who is passionate, tenacious and has the ability to prioritize. This also has the opportunity for the future in being involved in individual donation campaigns and grant development.
Key Responsibilities:
•Create new relationships and recruit new sponsors for the Festival using the Sponsorship Kit already developed by the Board of Directors.
•Work with sponsors to ensure expectations are met
•Develop new and innovative opportunities for sponsor exposure at events
•Work with Board Members on identifying sponsor targets
Qualifications
•Leadership skills
•Sales experience
•Basic knowledge of sponsorships and fundraising
• Ability to prioritize and manage several projects at once
• Track record of success in implementation
•Writing, verbal, analytical, and computer skills.
•Organizational skills
Hours: Based on needs of project
Salary: Commission on sales of sponsorship
