Tami Smith, the National Director of The World Championship's of Performing Arts (www.wcopa.tv) and President and CEO of Nova Talent, is coming to Arizona on Saturday, November 14, 2009 to scout for actors, models, singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and performing artists ages 5 and up for the 2010 World Championship's event in California!
The World Championship's has been endorsed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steven Spielberg, and Al Gore just to name a few, and is often referred to as the 'Talent Olympics' since it is a one-of-a-kind international event that features performers from over 50 countries around the world who compete in Los Angeles.
Tami is looking for the best models, actors, singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and performing artists to represent the United States in front of some of the top modeling and talent agencies and managers, casting directors, record labels, and producers.
2010 will mark the 14th annual World Championship's event, but this will be the third year in a row that Tami and her staff has come to Arizona to look for talent. In 2008, two performers from Arizona were in the finals at the World Championship's where one of the models won the award as the top male model of the world! At the World Championship's this past July, Arizona had 8 performers in the finals, and one of the dancers won the award as the top dancer in the world!
All in all, many of the talent from Arizona who has attended the World Championship's have gone on to sign with top managers and agents who are launching their careers at this very moment.
Tami and her team will be holding the audition ONE DAY ONLY on Saturday, November 14 at 9:30am. The World Championship's hold all of their auditions in Arizona at The Young Agency located in Phoenix, so The Young Agency will be coordinating all scheduling of performers for the audition.
If you are interested in auditioning, contact The Young Agency ASAP at 602-212-2668 or via email at updates@theyoungagency.com as Tami will be only able to meet with a limited number of people. There is no cost to attend other than about 2-4 hours of your time. If the performer is under age 18, a parent or legal guardian MUST be in attendance with them.
If you are looking to start a career in the entertainment industry, this could be the opportunity for you. Good luck!
