People Media, an operating business of Match.com is seeking a skilled Cold Fusion Developer (Senior Application Engineer) for our Chandler, AZ office, to be responsible for physical implementation of all aspects of the application architecture: high performance design, coding, caching, security, encryption, session state management, error logging, scalability, etc. This role requires significant experience in high volume systems and/or e-business design and the ability to architect solutions based on different design algorithms to a set of highly complex problems.
The Senior Application Engineer will become a leader on the development team and must demonstrate the ability to lead by example. This involves providing expert assistance to the other application team members including areas such as high performance design. Finally, this person must be able to work at the lowest levels and take the product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the design, development, testing and deployment of custom written web applications, including web services for 3rd party applications.
* Implement all aspects of an application design including but not limited to: high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, scalability, code reviews, environment configuration, proper testing procedures, naming standards and all other aspects of good application design and development, etc.
* Architect and develop solutions based on different design algorithms to a set of highly complex problems.
* Work at the lowest levels and taking the product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation and support.
* Work with a application team to design, develop, and update databases as they relate to Web applications
* Perform unit and system level testing on applications and all affected systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and performance with existing web applications.
* Undertake complete projects or stepping-in to an ongoing project to become an immediate contributor.
* Interact with business owners to develop solutions that require multiple resources with different levels of experience.
* Provide business-focused technical expertise to the development team.
* Analyze requirements and deliver realistic estimates for the implementation of related functionality for self and team.
* Deliver the required functionality in an agreed upon timely manner.
* Mentor and coach application developers.
* All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* BS or BA Degree, or equivalent development experience.
* 3+ years experience with implementation of large enterprise or e-business systems.
* Comprehensive experience with structuring, developing, and implementing effective and scalable interactive web sites.
* Demonstrated technical proficiency in applicable technologies including but not limited to: ColdFusion MX 7.0+, SQL Server 2000/2005, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML and Flex.
* Significant object-oriented and relational database design and development experience.
* Demonstrated business and technical analysis experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
* Highly self-motivated and directed.
* Proven problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to effectively execute.
* Experience working in team-oriented environment.
