Let's start a democratic free school or alternative learning center (Happy Valley)

I am an educational leader inviting parents, educators, students, and community members to help start an alternative learning center or democratic free school for the fall of 2010. It would be a private school / learning center located in the North Valley. We would be open 10 hours per day, 52 weeks per year. The idea is to provide a place for teachers to teach the way they want to, and for students to learn their own way, and without compulsion. We will provide lots of real-world projects, internships, experiences, and courses based on student interests and talents. Teachers and parents will be supported in setting up programs that support their world view. We will attract home-schooled students whose parents want freedom of learning, but in a community, and with supervision. We will attract teachers and families who want more authentic learning than can be had in the public system or traditional structures. We will try to keep the cost down to about half of a typical private school. If you would like to work in this school or would like to support this center, and can help set up a network of interested parents, students, and community members, please reply. I look forward to meeting with you.

Driver Education Teacher - Working with Teenagers (Chandler/Scottsdale/and more...)

Thanks for considering All Star Driver Education! We are looking for both already certified driving instructors and those whom would be interested in becoming certified.

We are looking for part time and full time instructors throughout Phoenix! Our primary business is to contract with local school districts and offer driver education to their high school students after school and on the weekends on a year round basis. We are currently the contracted driver education provider for Chandler, Scottsdale, Dysart Schools as well as service Cactus Shadow HS in Cave Creek

As far as some of the requirements to become a certified driver education teacher in the State of AZ and for All Star Driver Education… you must be over 21 years of age with a valid AZ driver's license in which you must currently have less than 4 points on your driving record. If you fit in this category, that is great! The next step would be filling out the required paperwork (which I would get to you once we were to meet or have a phone discussion) which would include:

• Filling out a few forms for the MVD and getting them notarized
• Two sets of fingerprints
• Going to the MVD and getting a copy of your driving record of the last 39 months (three years)
• Three recommendation letters
• Sworn Statement that you don't have any outstanding warrants

If you are still interested in an opportunity with our company, please email us back with your specific geographic interests as well as if you are interested in part time work or full time (keeping in mind that the hours are usually after school during the weekdays and on the weekend, as we can only work with our students once they are out of high school).

If you would like to learn more about our company, you can visit us online at www.allstardrivereducation.com. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
