The Project Engineer position is responsible for managing energy efficiency utility programs and meeting or exceeding program participation goals. The position works with commercial, industrial and institutional facility customers in identifying and effectively communicating energy cost savings and operational improvement opportunities as they relate to mechanical, electrical, lighting and control systems. It is responsible for answering customer inquiries, mentoring customers through the application process and is responsible for reviewing and explaining reports that summarize results, savings calculations and utility rebate amounts.<br>

The position is responsible for initiating and implementing outreach efforts, providing training and support for all energy efficiency programs to customer and trade ally groups, which include contractors, developers, manufacturers, distributors and their networks of dealers and customers. It is responsible for working with vendors in the field to encourage and support participation in the programs and when appropriate, adds credibility to the project by meeting with customers and their selected vendor to help legitimize the program and the anticipated implementation cost/saving.<br>

Required Qualifications: <br>

•	Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent. Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.<br>
•	Minimum of 4 years experience working in or interfacing with the utility industry, or a minimum of 3 years working within the energy efficiency or building efficiency industry.<br>
•	Working understanding of energy efficiency measures building systems that include: HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, compressors, motors, variable speed drives, lighting, refrigeration, process automation and controls.<br>
•	Demonstrated understanding of building science concepts, heating/cooling and various manufacturing process loads.<br>
•	Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse array of projects simultaneously to on scope, on budget and on schedule conclusion.<br>

The successful candidate for this position will work with commercial, industrial and institutional facilities in identifying and evaluating energy cost savings and operational improvement opportunities as they relate to mechanical, electrical, lighting and control systems.  The candidate will provide technical expertise to business corporate executives, facility managers, engineers, contractors and trade allies in identifying worthwhile energy efficiency projects, performing technical analysis to quantify and confirm energy savings and to sell these opportunities.<br>

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to perform the following:<br>
<br>
Use input from marketing, customers, development engineers, and other personnel to provide robust solutions to our customers, both internal and external. <br>
Develop conceptual mechanical designs of electronic packaging and cable design. <br>
Perform the full life-cycle development tasks with some amount of supervision and direction from the engineering manager <br>
Perform component and assembly design along with validation testing and documentation of electronics packaging to achieve cost, weight and environmental requirements <br>
Develop full set of documentation of design. <br>
Interact directly with customers to identify key deliverables and establish product specifications to fulfill customer requirements. <br>
Execute value engineering, new product introduction, and production support projects. <br>
Establishe hardware design requirements traceability, flow down requirements, develop and test <br>
Prepare and presents designs for customers approval and certification authorities. <br>
Apply sound engineering principles, practices, and procedures, and possess a working understanding of common manufacturing processes such as machining, stamping, soldering, plating, and injection plastic molding. <br>
Work closely with other Product Engineers and other disciplines such as Manufacturing and Process Engineering. <br>
Drives the usage of appropriate Lean Product Development tools to support cost-effective technical solutions with heavy focus on platform design, reuse and knowledge-management. <br>
<br>
In order to apply, candidates  MUST have: <br>
<br>
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry or Medical device design industry.<br>
Experience with cable design and electronic packaging<br>
<br>
<br>
Ideal candidates will have the following:<br>
<br>
2D Drafting <br>
Microsoft Office Applications <br>
 Knowledge of Connector and Cable Systems <br>
Customer SCD and Specification Review <br>
Geometric Dimensioning <br>
3D Modeling <br>
 Pro/Engineer Solid Modeling and Drafting <br>
Awareness of Six Sigma Lean Design Tools <br>
Work experience in all aspects of mechanical packaging of electronic products, including mechanical chassis design, PCB packaging, complex wiring and harness design within an aerospace or medical environment. <br>
Knowledge of up-to-date manufacturing methods, processes and techniques associated with mechanical packaging of electronic products. <br>
ANSI ASME Y14.5 and others - geometric tolerance and stack-ups, especially related to electronic packaging. <br>
Strong experience with detailed design using solid modeling software. <br>
Complete avionics development life-cycle experience: requirements, design, development, integration, and qualification tested to the requirements of DO-160 and MIL-STD-810. <br>
