Job Description:
- 3+ years of AS2/3 Programming Experience
- Experienced with creating/modifying data driving Flex 3 applications
- Good understanding of Object Orientated Programming is a Must
- Proficiency in AS2 and advanced knowledge of AS3 (Actionscript 3)
- Ability to edit existing code and proficiency creating original code
- 1+ year(s) of SQL
- Experience working in fast-paced environment and ability to rapidly learn new skills
- Experienced with Photoshop and Illustrator (basic knowledge of how to use the applications)
- Experienced with WebOrb or Web Services is a huge plus
- Experience with C# or Java is a plus
- Prior experience in the e-Learning industry or education a plus
Notes:
Job will include, but is not be limited to, creating enterprise application that will power and take the schools that are owned by AVA to the next plateau. These applications will be mostly done with Flex 3 (and 4 when it’s released), .NET (C#), and Java. Most the time on the job would be in the Flex builder, creating applications based on mocked up designs and maintaining already created applications. The other portions of time on the job could be; creating skins (in Illustrator, Photoshop or Flash CS4), creating custom components in Flash CS4, creating mock-ups, proof of concepts or prototypes, and possibly helping out where need be.
