Great Job Opportunity!!! Disabled student looking for a quiet, easy-going, individual to provide live-in attendant care. The pay rate for the attendant care is $7.25 an hour. The employee will have his or her own room in a three-bedroom and two-bathroom apartment. The employee must rent a spare room for $500 a month (all utilities included), due at the end of the month, no deposit required, and the term of the agreement is the length of employment. The bedroom is only 15 minutes from ASU campus (Tempe) and five minutes from UAT. One dog is allowed.

This work entails assisting a disabled individual with turning/positioning or meeting other personal care needs, just being there five nights a week in case any assistance is needed. The individual must be in the apartment from 2:00 am until 6:30 am five nights a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (the night of Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday respectively) and be available at other hours, with reasonable accommodations for school/other work. The employee is welcome to sleep, study, or watch TV when his or her assistance is not needed. There may be additional income opportunities providing care outside of normal hours.

Previous experience is required, but that experience need not be in a homecare facility. Experience meeting the personal care needs of friends/family is preferred. While the position does not require regular lifting, the applicant must be able to lift 80 pounds on an emergency basis. Those without a strong work ethic need not apply. Position is 1-2 days a week the days will vary as this is a fill-in position for my primary caregiver. Hours would be 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Along with 1 hour evenings. Total 4 hours a day.
The position is for an easy going 28/male with Muscular Dystrophy. This is a great job for a College Student or anyone looking for a part-time position.
Tasks include transferring, meal prep, dressing, grooming, showering and toileting. No prior experience necessary, I am willing to train a motivated caring person who loves helping others.

You must be reliable, have your own car and speak clear English. Must be comfortable with dogs. Prefer non-smoker. This job requires, before start of employment, a recent fingerprint card and a federal background check. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
