Hello. My name is Frankie Commans Jr. I have been playing guitar and many other instruments for 30 years. I have played professionally in many bands and I also have experience in numerous recording studios (both professional and project).
Recently I decided it was time for me to start taking on students again as I have in the past. When I was enlisted in the United States Air Force, I used to give guitar lessons at the recreational center on base. I have a structured course that I developed and continue to develop to this day. It is not a rigid structure though, the course is designed to grow with the student and develop around their needs and personal interests.
Where my course differs from the others is, I not only teach the students how to �play� the guitar, I also teach them an appreciation for the instrument. Whether the student has dreams of becoming a professional or if they just want to be able to sit around a campfire and make music with friends, the guitar can provide endless hours of enjoyment.
The length of my course varies per student. I like to ensure the students are comfortable and confident in the knowledge and skills they have gained before moving them ahead. I prefer to turn out a well-rounded student rather than pushing them through the material.
In the past, my students have complimented me not only on my skill and knowledge of the instrument, but also on being very patient and understanding, which is one of the best compliments a teacher can receive.

Reforming an existing local band with regional exposure and two cds which gained national attention. Lost guitarist/singer, but not the core of the band, an amazing cello/vocalist. Former house band with Wrigley Mansion and have played many other major venues in Scottsdale and Phoenix as well as toured wine country in California. The sound is best described by the the title of the last cd P.E.A.R. (Progressive, Eclectic, Acoustic, Rock). This music has international appeal and has gained attention at every live performance, attracting all age groups and musical taste. We are looking to re-esatablish the fan base, primarily focused on building off of the original music, but do creative and intelligent covers of Beatles, Green Day, Chris Issac, and even do a cover of "Play that Funky Music White Boy" with a cello that brings the house down every time. Mature , seasoned musicians, with passion and drive looking for the right guitarist and possibly looking to add keyboard who doubles on an instrument (sax/flute, guitar, trumpet). Strong vocals would lead to great 3 part harmony.

If you want to hear samples of the existing cd's go to cd baby and listen to Newtons Theorem, or for a live recording of the cello player, in a small club here, check out "headless cello" on youtube, doing a Beatles cover. Poor video, but you get an idea of the musicianship and unique nature of the music , with a poor recording done from my drumset during a gig.

Looking for pro's or those that have the right attitude about doing creative but accessible music. We are both very tasteful , passionate and easy going musicians , with a respect for the same. Our music is an original blend of genres including blues, funk, rock, jazz, and hip hop. We've been together and playing live for a year and a half and have played all over town, and even played the Whisky A Go Go in LA over the summer. We just finished recording our first CD and have plenty of material for another. We are serious about gigging and always have at least one show a week. All we need to start booking shows again is a versatile bass player. We are an alternative rock band seeking a dedicated, lead vocalist between the ages of 16 and 24 (a high school senior with a half day would be ideal for scheduling purposes). With professional equipment, an original set list, and a regular flow of gigs, we are already somewhat established. Practice is usually held about two or three times a week, at noon, for about two or three hours. To be considered, one must posses experience, good stage presence, and reliable transportation, while also being a friendly person. We have a zero douche tolerance.

Our focus will be on Music Production and Technology, but we do also want to develop advanced classes in conventional instruments, especially Master Classes in Guitar, Keys, Percussion, Drums, horns, violin, etc. Experience in Music Production and Technology is preferred. Music Degree is optimal, but not required. We are located in a 5300 sq. ft building complete with studios, computerized classrooms, potential individual rooms and more. I'm a solid rhythm guitarist with some lead chops, and a decent singing voice. I'm looking for another musician with a similar skill set; who can cover rhythm and trade solos, and sing lead on up to half of the tunes. Backup vocals are a plus, too.

I really want to find a musician that I click with, someone who loves to make good music foremost, but also enjoys an audience and earning a paycheck

Down the road (or right around the corner if you're ready for it) I'd like to work up some strong originals, play out a couple or more nights a week, maybe even book larger gigs and bring in hired guns to fill out the band

I want to play primarily rocking country music, and add in some crowd pleasing classic rock... everything from Alan Jackson to the Animals, Blackhawk to Bruce Springsteen, Desert Rose Band to Def Leppard, Eric Church to Eric Clapton, etc...
