MUST HAVE
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Be comfortable in customer-facing scenarios.
- Experience in all major aspects of a Windows environment, e.g. Exchange, Active Directory, Windows XP/Vista workstation support, etc.
- Virtualization experience using virtualization servers and/or desktops using VMware or Hyper-V. Other virtualization platforms a plus.
- Basic core infrastructure experience, i.e. the ability to set up a network from the ground up.
- Willingness to travel to multiple locations in the area (little or no national travel involved).
- Willingness to occasionally be on call to respond to an emergency.
- Willingness to mentor junior members of the technical staff.
STRONGLY PREFER
- Microsoft/Cisco/VMware certifications on current or near-current product lines.
- Experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting Cisco and/or Juniper gear.
- Experience in a managed services organization.
- At least basic experience in non-Windows environments. Solaris and/or AIX experience a big plus.
