Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager Scottsdale, AZ
Overview
The Search Engine Optimization Manager will report to the Director of Web Development and will be responsible for managing a team of SEO specialists/analysts whose primary responsibility will be to implement SEO best practices with the accounts they manage to help their web properties get more organic traffic from search engines. The SEO manager will also be charged with training, mentoring and growing the SEO team.
Responsibilities
Developing and managing all elements of SEO for a growing range of clients. This will involve strategy formulation, on and off page optimization, reporting and communicating to internal and external clients regarding their campaigns
Managing, mentoring and growing a team of SEO specialists/analysts to ensure they understand all aspects of SEO and oversee all of the accounts they manage to ensure they see success
Work with other Yodle teams such as sales, client services, web production and product to ensure that SEO best practices are fully understood and implemented into our products and processes
Create detailed SEO performance reports, measuring campaign success
Keep up to date on industry best practices for SEO, web design and other web marketing principals and train and educate others on these practices
Qualifications:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in a business, marketing or technical field
4+ years experience managing SEO campaigns for multiple clients. Local SEO experience for small businesses a BIG plus
4+ years experience managing other employees and their work in a related field or industry
Provide examples of previous SEO work and demonstrate the results and success of this work
Be literate with standard web software and content management systems (CMS).
Superior knowledge of web analytic and research tools such as Google analytics, Word Tracker, Google Insights, Clicktracks, Omniture
Very strong knowledge and understanding of web languages such as HTML/CSS/PHP/ASP/Javascript, etc
Ability to train others on these a must.
Ability to create and hand code a website in HTML/CSS a must
Be analytical by nature with a strong ability to interpret, understand and act on the data learned in the life cycle of the search campaigns
Ability to multi-task and prioritize the delivery of multiple projects on tight deadlines while communicating their status to internal and external customers.
Display a methodical approach to business and development including good documentation skills
Hire, train, and manage a team of SEO specialists/analysts that are fanatical about clients success with Yodle particularly in regards to SEO campaigns
Create a positive and energetic work environment for others
Experience with other online marketing methods such as email marketing, social networking, display marketing, PPC, affiliate marketing etc.
Experience in conversion based web design and landing page optimization
