It's freelance work - emphasis on the "free". It's volunteer work.

You should know, understand, and adhere to review, editing, and production standards and processes.

You must have three or more years of experience working in a formal technical editing position in a high-tech environment. Your experience should include editing of materials for some of the following: software development, storage technologies, computer hardware, computer software, telecommunications and networking. Candidates must have excellent grammar skills and the ability to grasp both the larger issues at hand and the tiniest of details. You should demonstrate a high level of editing ability, including clear, concise, well-structured writing that adheres to a style guide. You must possess an ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects to completion. Experience with Arbortext is a plus.
An example day could include collecting timesheets, preparing invoices, running payroll with ADP, providing customer support, entering resumes into our DB, answering phones ordering supplies and handling email support/administrative issues. You will be working with our Director and Recruiting Manager to help them with their daily activities.
