The City of Glendale is seeking a diversified Music Leader. We have 2 senior performing groups; the Celebration Singers and the Mockingbird Kitchen Band. The groups meet separately on Mondays from 8:45 a.m. -11:45 a.m. for practice and rehearsals. We also compensate for an extra hour for class preparation, for a total of 4 hours per week.
The ideal candidate would have the ability to lead and direct 20 seniors in a pleasant environment and teach voice and musicality. Our music groups are informal, but professionalism is a must. The Music Leader must have access to themed, classical and contemporary sheet music, and be able to provide accompaniment during practices and performances by keyboard or piano.
We are located at the Glendale Adult Center, 5970 W. Brown Street, Glendale, AZ. Resumes are acceptable, but a completed City of Glendale application is required.
