Description:
The primary responsibilities of a Teacher Assistant are to supervise classroom with Lead Teacher. The Teacher Assistant accepts responsibility for maintenance and housekeeping duties of classroom, common use area and playgrounds. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions as determined by the Director. Observes all rules and regulations of Primrose Schools and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and are of children.
Required Skills:
The Teacher Assistant must have First Aid and CPR Training. Ability to relate positively with young children and a mature and responsible fashion is a crucial skill. Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a quality preschool, child care center or church nursery is preferred but not required.
Special Instructions:
Teacher Assistant must be able to relate positively with young children. Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a public or private school system, a quality pre-school, childcare center or church nursery experience is desired but not mandatory Teacher Assistant position. Certification or degree related to early childhood or preschool or elementary education is desired but not mandatory.
