Central Recovery Press (CRP) is a small, but growing full-service publisher specializing in behavioral healthcare topics. Out publications and materials are geared towards addiction professionals including therapists, counselors, physicians, and students, treatment facilities and hospitals, and recovering individuals and families.
Our catalog includes 8 currently published books (including e-book formats) with five additional titles currently scheduled for the spring 2010 season.
CRP is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to join our growing company. The Sales and Marketing Manager will be critical to achieving our strategic plan and will be for responsible for managing the daily business functions of the company, including, direct sales, author/writer development, contract and author/publisher agreements, distribution, and general management. Candidates should possess the following skills/abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field and with a minimum 3-5 years experience in sales. Experience in the publishing field preferred.
1. Ability to analyze and recommend marketing strategies
2. Ability to evaluate new business opportunities including online and traditional publishing products
3. Ability to negotiate vendor, distribution and other agreements on behalf of the company
4. Ability to create and maintain annual budgets, sales projections, and title-based P&L’s
5. Track record of increasing responsibilities with financial accountability and clear deliverables
6. Proven ability to scale business annually
7. Existing relationships in the publishing industry
8. Ability to develop and manage authors and freelance writers
9. Examples of innovative business practices for sales, market penetration, business evolution and business acquisition
10. Ability to perform in the areas of negotiations, contracts, sub-rights, schedules, in-house database management and content acquisition.
