Sun Valley Animal Shelter is hiring a kennel/cattery cleaner. The position is full time. The hours are strict, 7:30am - 4pm with some days being 8:30 - 5pm. Weekends required, days off are somewhat flexible, to start they would be Tuesday and Thursday. Please do not apply if you cannot work the full 40 hours a week. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Daily cleaning of cattery and kennels, which includes laundry, dishes and bathrooms
Daily cleaning of outside premises
Transfer of dogs to yards
Aid in dog-dog introductions
Walk and handle dogs who may exceed 90 lbs
Lift and move 50 lbs
Assist with routine behavioral analyses on cats and dogs. This duty will include extensive handling of dogs of various sizes
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cat condos, litter boxes, floor areas throughout the day
Feed animals at appropriate times - feeding schedule is strict!
Work overtime, if needed
Other duties as assigned
