It's a diesel powered (Yanmar) inboard, live-aboard ready, fully customized cabin cruiser, with many extras. Has been great for exploring the Sea of Cortez. Has water-maker, color echo sounder / fish finder, GPS chart plotter, standard and handheld VHF radios, plus a Yaesu long-range radio modified to transmit on both ham and marine frequencies. And of course lots of fishing gear. Trailer is custom heavy duty 3 axel aluminum and stainless with spare wheel and tire and spare parts. A true salt-water trailer.
Boat went through a complete restoration and rebuild over multiple years. A labor of love, spare no expense, type project. Included replacing gas engine with a Yanmar diesel. Actually just about anything that could be replaced was with new and better. The goal was to end up with a seaworthy, comfortable, safe cruiser for 2 plus space for 2 guests. Boat sleeps 4.
Boat has performed perfectly and is in great condition. Has been great for fishing or scuba diving or exploring. Well equipped and time/use tested! Wonderful experiences and memories!
Age and some orthopedic issues have made me realize it’s time to let someone else carry on the fun and adventure.

According to a dictionary entry in the old old days a Scot was a tax so Scot-Free meant completely free from taxes, obligations, harm, or penalty.
When not in use the boat has always been kept in covered and secured Marina Seca storage yard. Living most of its life under cover is why it looks so great.
The main reason I appreciate this boat so much is because it has a great capability for fun and adventure at a more affordable expense. It’s solid, reliable and safe. Never once let me down. With the Water-Maker we have cruised and lived on-board for as long as 6 weeks at a time. We go off-shore fishing all the time and we’ve done the crossing and went exploring all the way down to La Paz. Used the on-board scuba compressor to enable diving just about everywhere we went. The Sea of Cortez experiences have been magical, sensory overload we sometimes felt. I’m talking maximum fun here - Experiences to treasure forever!
Marina Seca storage and use of their tractor for transporting to/from water is convenient, reasonably priced, and safe.
Detailed Information:
Beam is 10 feet so boat is unusually spacious for a 26 footer
New diesel engine is a Yanmar 4LH-DTE (commercial rating) with about 2,100
engine hours. Boat mostly used like a trawler traveling 6 to 9 knots.
This is a straight inboard, not a inboard/outboard
Regular professional maintenance done from day one
Always used Delo heavy duty 15-40 oil and Yanmar factory filters
Fuel tank capacity is 100 gal in (4) separate 25 gal tanks. Has large fuel filter,
and water separator.
Selectable fuel switch so fuel can be transferred between tanks
Has hydraulic trim tabs but not really needed now after renovation
Hull recently professionally painted. Bottom also recently painted.
