I am overwhelmed with too many projects, and am passing along this VERY cool project to someone who has more time than I do.
Rare TWIN Mercruiser stern drives with twin Mercruiser inline-6 cylinder 165HP engines with only 240hours on each. 70+ gal of fuel capacity! Small retro wood-accent cuddy cabin with porta-potty.
The entire boat needs a full overhaul, but the bones are solid, and once restored...this thing is going to be SO cool!
...but it has a long way to go, which is why I'm parting with it so cheaply. Extra props as well.
I'm including pix of the original brochure and pix of a restored one, to give you an idea of what it's SUPPOSED to look like! (first few pix are when I bought it, last 6 pix are it's current state after sitting in my yard waiting for me to pay attention to it...)
Known issues: One outdrive is seized/rusted up and has been removed from the boat and is in my garage. One exhaust manifold is cracked. Starboard side bow had a light below-water-line collision and needs some fiberglass repair, but fairly straightforward repair...nothing is crushed in. Trailer tires only good enough for a short trip across town at surface street speed. I towed it 20 or 30 miles some years ago (I re-greased the axles at that point), but even with the two included spares, I would not plan to take it very far without replacement tires.
Come rescue it from my yard and buy yourself a very cool project.
