For those interested in acquiring an AZ CCW Permit, myself and a group of associated instructors (licensed by AZ DPS or certified by the NRA and/or similar organizations) host regular classes for this purpose around Arizona; primarily in the Phoenix Metro Area ~ but statewide too. Each instructor is an Independent Contractor and Sole Proprietor or runs their own business/LLC. We are also each Fingerprint Technicians and we offer ink and card fingerprinting services at our classes, with free re-prints at later classes if the prints are rejected during the application process; it happens ~ we take that into account.
There is an LLC that we are associated with and which you can sign up for our classes through, though we also bill at the door for walk-ins. Our class cost varies by weekday/weekend or special/group pricing... but it's not much. Our goal is to boost the number of people with permits and our low pricing enables that goal. If you are interested, please email me with your location - to which I will reply with a list of classes in and nearby you over the next two weeks; if you choose to sign up for one. In two weeks I will repost this. We regularly do these classes. Some of us even offer delivery services for completed applications, to skip the wait associated with winding up in the mail-in pile.
I get this remark [or question] a lot... about how Arizona is a Constitutional Carry State and many people think because of that a CCW Permit is not "needed" here. Generally, yes... however ~ tab out and look up the "GFSZA of 1990". Without a CCW Permit you can not carry (neither concealed nor open, or even in your vehicle) within 1000 feet of any school. So if you carry at all here in AZ and you transit School Zones... you do indeed need a CCW Permit, to do so legally. Not knowing this will not protect you from legal repercussions if you are caught. That is just one example of how having one can come in handy here in Arizona. If you have doubts, please look it up... we live in a world where two things can be true: 1) Yes, we are a Constitutional Carry State, 2) A CCW Permit is still needed under some common circumstances here. Plus, there are additional benefits of having one.
If you carry... please consider getting a CCW Permit. It doesn't cost much and it lasts for 5 years. It's worthwhile to have.
As I said, myself and many instructors I am associated with hold classes daily around the state; in different locations. If you are interested, send me an email stating your location - and I will provide you with information including a list of nearby classes and dates/times; and the rest is up to you. My goal is to get people into my/our classes, but even if you take a class from someone else ~ you're enhancing public safety; which is a good thing. Hopefully, I have motivated some of you to do so though I must choose my wording carefully (avoiding certain words) because posts like this don't usually stay up long if more specific language is used, lol; gotta love the nuance of using Craigslist.
I check my email a few times a day, ideally; but one time per day at minimum. I won't leave you hanging.
...please be sure to specify by telling me the city you want to take a class in when you send me an email...
