Jaguar XJS 1986 which goes down the road very nicely, but it started overheating very quickly. I wasn't able to diagnose the problem, so I changed to a Be Cool radiator, new thermostats, an all electric fan cooling system trying to correct the issue. I've since determined that the engine has a head gasket leak from cylinder 5A into the coolant jacket. This probably means a warped head.
The engine starts and runs nicely, but it cannot be driven to do more than get itself onto a trailer. Driving it as is would probably cause dropped valve seats.
The car has a Tremec 5-spd manual transmission.
The air conditioner and cruise control need rebuilding.
