This is a 2005 MAZDASPEED Miata in Titanium Grey with a number of tasteful mods that add to the already amazing driving experience. The car has 128,000 miles, and the engine & transmission are in excellent shape. The recent Blackstone oil analysis shows this engine is in great shape. This car was never tracked or abused, only a weekend canyon cruiser. A/C Blows Cold!
The body is generally in good condition, but it does have a few small dings from use over the years, mainly from car doors hitting it. See the photos for the specifics. The interior is in good shape, and everything works, including the A/C and the retractable antenna that extends with the radio turning on. The OEM seats have been reupholstered with a black leatherette from AutoTopsDirect. The fitment is very good, not excellent, but a huge improvement over the 20 year old OEM skins. During that process I performed the well known Miata "Foamectomy" which added about an one inch of additional head clearance on both seats, which really made a big difference since I'm 6' 1". Please expect a few creaks and rattles from the interior of this 20 year old car with stiff suspension!

Differential Fluid Flush @ 120k (Redline Gear oil)
Fresh Oil and Filter 2 weeks ago @ 128K (Mobil 1 synth. 10W40)

The car currently has the stock ECU and injectors installed in order to pass emissions and renew registration. The process takes about 2 hours to complete every 2 years, so not too bad. In current form, the MSM is a fun, zippy little car. With the MegaSquirt ECU, tune and 550cc injectors, it's a very fun car. After the ECU and Injectors were first installed, I had the car dyno tuned by Xact Dyno in Tempe, and the car produced about 230hp to the wheels. My goal from there was to continue adjusting the tune for daily drivability, but I was never really able to spend the time required to get it perfect. During hot weather, or after spirited driving, it will stall at stop light without help from the gas petal. I was planning to pay someone to do the drivability tuning for me, but never got around to it. Aside from that, the driving experience with the ECU and injectors is fantastic. Power comes on quickly and it pulls hard through redline. At 2500lbs and 230hp at the wheels, this Mazdaspeed Miata feels the way it should have been from the factory.
I'm the 2nd owner, since 2020 @ 119,000 miles, and have taken great care of this MSM. The previous owner shared extensive maintenance records and all other repair documentation. Aside from further ECU tuning, the only thing it needs are new tires, they're not worn or cracked, just older. This car has always been garage kept during my ownership. The wheels all have curb rash.
If I were to keep this car, I would install coilovers, 15x8 lightened wheels and 200 treadwear tires to make this thing the ultimate canyon ripper! I've had so much fun with this car but I'm selling to help fund a new car experience. Time to let someone else continue perfecting this somewhat rare 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata. Mazda only produced 1428 units in 2005!
Please reach out with questions, I'm happy to discuss. I don't need help selling and I'm in no rush to let this thing go.
