Up for sale is my 2007 Subaru Forrester premium. It has a 2 inch lift kit and oversized almost new all terrain tires. It also has a full set of aluminum skid plates. The car is well-maintained, but has had an adventurous life and comes with the the dings and marks from that. A fantastic adventure wagon with lots of storage and good fuel economy. The only reason I’m selling is I’m buying a truck to tow things.
The good!
155k, well-maintained engine, runs strong
All the big maintenance is done.
New head gaskets, tuneup, and timing belt 2k ago
Manual transmission.
New clutch 2K ago
2 inch strut top lift kit
Full aluminum skid plates underneath
Oversized all A/T tires, new 3K ago
New upgraded brakes 2K ago (slotted and drilled, ceramic pads. In notable difference.)
Power everything, and it all works
High-end ceramic tint on all windows
Seat covers and WeatherTech floor mats it’s whole life.
2500 pound towing capacity and hitch
Rooftop thule box.
Great fuel economy, even lifted with a rooftop box I average better than 25
More than $4000 in services and tires in the last three months
The bad…
An adventurous life comes with scars. While there’s been no major accidents,
there are a few hail dings here and there
a scuff on the rear bumper
some antler scarring down the driver side from a elk.
And the regular scuff stings and scratches of an older car
All cosmetic damage and doesn’t affect the usability of the car at all, but it definitely looks like you have adventures with it.
There is also dog hair, my dog sheds a lot,(hence the seat covers) and despite cleaning it up, it’s hard to get rid of all of it.
All in all a surprisingly capable, efficient, reliable adventure wagon that I don’t really want to get rid of. But I’m buying a larger truck to tow things and can’t justify two cars.
