Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Drafter with 3+ years of AutoCAD experience and the potential to grow into a key role in drafting, process development, and engineering documentation. This is not a traditional drafter position; we are looking for someone with an engineering mindset, curiosity, and the drive to become a hands-on resource supporting CAD standards, drafting workflows, and process improvements within our engineering department.
This role is ideal for an early-career drafter transitioning into millwork who wants to develop technical expertise in architectural millwork while helping shape the processes and systems that support our production.________________________________________
Responsibilities:
• Learn and apply millwork drafting principles to create accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD and Microvellum .
• Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of internal CAD standards and workflows.
• Assist in creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), submittals and related documentation for approved projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production staff to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.
• Revise and update drawings and documents based on customer and team feedback.
• Contribute to the development of new standards, procedures, and processes that improve drafting efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide hands-on support in engineering and continuous improvement projects.

Skills & Qualifications:
• 3+ years of AutoCAD experience (required).
• Familiarity with Cabinet Vision, Fusion, Microvellum, BricsCAD, SolidWorks, AlphaCAM, or other CAD/CAM software is helpful but not mandatory.
• Willingness to develop expertise in new CAD/CAM tools.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Energy, curiosity, and motivation to grow into an engineering role that goes beyond drafting.
