Responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing and business process improvements th increase capacity, reduce lead-time, reduce the work-in-process, and improve process flow and efficiency. These actions will occur across multiple facets of organizion including: manufacturing, design, supplier development, documention, and Abbott suppliers. Projects will incorpore lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, quick response manufacturing, Just-In-Time, Methods- Time Measurement, or a variety of other systems improvement philosophies. The employee will be required to cree strong relionships with team members internal and external to Abbott to ensure project success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Analyzes, crees and implements manufacturing and/or business process improvements th increase capacity, reduce lead-time, reduce work in process and improve the quality, cost and delivery performance of Abbott.
Completes capacity analyzes internally and/or suppliers for headcount, equipment and space requirements using simulion software or other effective tools.
Identifies opportunities and drives incorporion of approprie Lean tool usage such as 5S, time study, line balancing, standard work, merial flow and value stream mapping, process mapping and Kaizen event into the daily functions of continuous improvement.
Implements and maintains effective metrics with internal customers.
Participes as a core member in cross-functional teams to quickly troubleshoot and elimine product supply issues internally or suppliers.
Makes recommendions to teams, which drive higher yielding, lower cost, more manufacturable products. May use financial analyses tool and recommend alternive courses of action.
Convinces internal customer to make fundamental changes to their manufacturing and/or business processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or reled engineering field.
Masters Degree Preferred
OR an equivalent combinion of educion and work experience
Minimum 6 years -Reled work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area
Technical/Business Knowledge-Wide applicion of technical principles, practices, and procedures.
Strong understanding of business unit function and cross group dependencies/relionships.
Cognitive Skills- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of da requires evaluion of identifiable factors.
Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Has a sound knowledge of various technical alternives and their impact.
Project management experience
Black Belt/Six Sigma certificion
PMP certificion
Solid understanding of stistical analysis/RCPS tools and concepts

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locions, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
