The Framer & Hanger is responsible for installing metal framing and hanging drywall on commercial construction projects. This position requires safe work practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Install metal stud framing (walls, ceilings, soffits)
Measure, cut, and assemble framing materials
Hang and secure drywall sheets (walls and ceilings)
Install corner beads, backing, and blocking
Use tools such as:
Screw gun
Drywall gun
Impact driver
RotoZip / drywall router
Read basic blueprints and layouts
Build and work from ladders and scaffolds
Maintain clean and safe work areas (housekeeping)
Follow all OSHA safety rules and company policies
Work with team members and follow foreman directions
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years' experience in:
Metal stud framing
Drywall hanging
Knowledge of commercial construction preferred
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Must have own basic tools
Reliable transportation
OSHA certification preferred (10 or 30)
