This DJ case full of records used to belong to an MC at the heart of the authentic Seattle renegade scene. They are something of a snapshot of what was being spun, sampled and flipped in the early 2000's: You had to be in the know to get the text. The popup events could be in an unused warehouse, under a bridge (out of the rain), or in a train tunnel in the mountains. When the call went out, the party was on. There are about 50 records. I'm not qualified to catalog these for you. I wasn't in the scene but was privileged to video an event. I just know he used them in his sets. $250. Super, super deal. The case alone was 250 new. I'd love this to go to somebody who is in the culture and appreciates the history.
I also have a Keyboard. It's great if you want the beat functions, various synth instruments, but some keys in the middle play louder than the rest. IDK, maybe its a setting? That's why it's $5. Plenty left to practice your technique though.
Hoping you will get use out of it.
I'm in the arts district near Grand Ave and 13th st. Usually home.
Serioius only. Will take the ad down as soon as its gone. "Is it still there" will be deleted.
