Our band was started in late 2021. This is NOT just any community band. PPB plays the oldies. No, not the Beatles, the OLDIES. Stuff written in 1880-1930. Some tunes you might know, and a lot that you will be excited to learn. And it all ties back to actual Phoenix history - the original Pioneer Band was the first in Phoenix and, while we don't wear their uniforms, we do play their music.
This is currently a 20-person wind band and we have no percussionists. You must be able to read music, at least rhythms. We have a bass drum, snare, cymbals, and odds and ends - pretty much all the essentials.
