Heavy Equipment Operator - Excavator / Loader / Skid Steer
Universal Operator
Phoenix Metro | Residential & Small Commercial Site Development
We are hiring a high-level equipment operator who can independently run excavators, loaders, and skid steers on active residential and small commercial site projects.
This is not an entry-level role and it’s not a “seat time” position. We are looking for an operator who understands grade, sequence, production, and takes ownership of the result.
If you need constant direction, this is not the right fit. If you take pride in clean pads, straight trenches, tight grades, and efficient movement onsite, keep reading.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Operate excavators, loaders, and skid steers safely and productively.
Cut and finish building pads to grade.
Trench and backfill for underground utilities with attention to grade and compaction.
Perform precise grading, excavation, and finish work that meets plans and field conditions.
Read and interpret site plans, elevations, and layout information.
Identify soil, access, sequencing, or utility conflicts early and communicate them.
Complete daily equipment inspections and maintain equipment with pride.
Work independently on residential jobs and contribute to crew production on commercial projects.
We measure performance by production, quality, and safety.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years operating excavators, loaders, and skid steers on active construction sites.
Experience in grading, excavation, trenching, demolition, and underground utility support.
Ability to shoot and maintain grade without constant supervision.
Ability to read plans and build to real-world conditions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Preferred but Not Required
GPS machine control experience (Trimble or similar).
Underground utility installation experience.
CDL or equipment hauling experience.
Experience mentoring junior operators or laborers.
Pay & Benefits
Depending on experience, independence, and capability.
401(k) with 4% company match.
Medical, dental, and vision coverage (employee and family).
Paid holidays and PTO.
Year-round work.
We value accountability, communication, clean work, and operators who think ahead.
If you take pride in doing it right the first time, apply.
