Phoenix Pipelines, an established underground wet utility contractor has long term employment opportunity for Pipe Layer and Operator.

Summary – Pipe Layer
The Pipe Layer is responsible for assembling, connecting, and installing pipe systems for “wet” utilities (storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains). Pipelayers ensure the ground is prepped, on grade, and meets specifications for slope, shade, and alignment. Pipe layers must be proficient in the installation of water, sanitary and storm sewer systems. This includes service connections, mechanical, or gasket fittings including valves, tee’s, wye’s bends, couplings, saddles, and ARV’s. Pipelayers must be knowledgeable in a variety of sizes/types of water lines and sewer pipes, with the skill and workmanship to install them with a high degree of accuracy.
Summary – Heavy Equipment Operator
Responsible for operating and maintaining various heavy equipment, including but not limited to trench excavators, backhoes, and loaders in a safe expeditious manner in accordance with OSHA safe practices. 3+ years’ experience in wet utility heavy equipment operator experience
Requirements:
• Ability to detect unsafe or hazardous conditions of tools and work environment.
• Thorough knowledge of safety standards and Underground Facilities Law (Blue Stake, Arizona 811)
• Hold/obtain and maintain an OSHA 10 Certification
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact in a team environment
• Reliable transportation
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
