Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and securely across various routes. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, and tractor-trailers—will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Drive a variety of trailer types including refrigerated trailers for perishable goods, flatbed
Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules while minimizing delays and fuel consumption
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking brakes, tires, lights, and other critical components to ensure roadworthiness
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in compliance with federal and state regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit
Experience
Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL A license; 2 year experience driving tractor-trailers is required
Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks is essential
Hands-on experience with various trailer types including refrigerated units, flatbeds,
Delivery driver experience involving freight handling and load & unload procedures enhances your suitability for this role
Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks confidently
Knowledge of route planning software or GPS systems for efficient navigation is a plus
