Some of the duties of the position include:
Responsible for pre/post trip inspections, making sure truck is clean, lubrication is current, and brake adjustments made.
Responsible for transporting materials and equipment to job sites.
Ensure adequate fuel levels in truck(s)/ equipment.
Maintain driver e-logs as required by law.
Communicate over 2-way radios.
Work on the construction crew as needed while on job sites.
Maintain job site and equipment to the highest possible standards to maintain a professional image.
Follow all PPE, safety and company rules are followed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirement for the position include:
1 year of road maintenance experience (preferred)
Thorough understanding of commercial driver’s laws (weights, endorsements, hours of service, etc.).
Basic understanding of mathematics as related to weights.
Travel is required
