The Phoenix Trolley Museum preserves and showcases Phoenix streetcars that were use between 1927 and 1948, and uses them to tell the story of how public transportation in Phoenix was tied to its rise to be the largest city in the Southwest. We have three of these trolley cars in various states of restoration. PTM is located in downtown Phoenix in the Grand Avenue arts district.
Specific volunteer needs include:
* Saturday docents to show visitors around the museum and assist in general museum operations such as archiving, cleaning up, and minor repair work
* Social media and communications management
* Guided historical research and content development
* Event coordination and management
* Skilled/semi-skilled restoration, repair and maintenance on the streetcars
* Property maintenance and improvement workers
Most of our volunteer work takes place on Saturdays, or in small groups or individual efforts whenever people are available. No matter what your talent or skill is, we can use it! Check out our website at phoenixtrolley.org for more general information.
