Superb 36" curved handle fully beaded wood Native American/Indian walking canes. Most beaded canes are only partially beaded.
My father was a Graduate Gemologist, jewelry designer/maker, woodworker, photographer -- an all-around creative man. For years, he and my mother had a nice jewelry store and gallery in the fashionable 5th Avenue Shops in Old Town Scottsdale. He passed away last year and I'm selling many of his items for my mother since she'll be downsizing into a smaller house soon.
These very nice curved handle hand-beaded wood Native American Indian walking canes feature a curved handle, wood shaft, and 36" of hand-beaded beadwork. My mother said that dad purchased these in the late 1960s and were considered vintage even back then. I don't know if the designs represent anything, and I don't know which tribe or artist these are attributed to. My father was very much into Native American history, jewelry and art, so if he bought these then they must be high-quality collector items. They're in great condition for their age because dad took great care of his collectibles. I also noticed online that almost all beaded canes are not beaded from top to bottom, so perhaps fully beaded ones are scarce or rare.
$200 each is a great deal because I checked eBay, Amazon, and a few Native American online galleries for their retail prices. Fully beaded canes like these retail for around $425 each, so I figure I'm advertising these for well below wholesale price. I'll consider a lower price if you want to buy both of them.
You're welcome to come over any day of the week during the hours of 12:00 to 6:00. My wife and I work from home but one of us will most likely be able to get away from our computers to take an afternoon work break and show these to you.
