This is an original Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus poster printed in 1945 but intended for use at the 1954 circus in Lawrence, Kansas.
It is NOT a modern reproduction. The image was painted by none other than Bill Bailey himself!! The colors are so intense and vibrant for how old this item is. The condition is very good considering the age.
The poster is currently a one piece item. But originally it would have had the top part with the image as one item, then the bottom part would beglued on to the bottom for whatever place and date and time was being advertised.Which is how it exists today. Both pieces glued together.
Dimensions: 27 7/8 inwide x 29 5/8 in long
Condition: Folded, does have a noticeable tear on the top but that can be fixed in framing using dry mount technique, smaller tears on bottom right side that would be covered with any framing, some discoloration in that bottom right area also, some tape on the top back side, smoke-free& pet free home
