Now how about this absolutely gorgeous mantel or table clock. This is an Ansonia "MELODY" figural clock. I don't know how many years I have had it but many for sure. It is an eight day with a soft chime on the 1/2 hour and also it strikes the number of the hour on the hour. It runs great and keeps good time. My notes indicate I cleaned it with ultrasonic cleaner and oiled with the best synthetic oil you can buy. It has the very desirable exposed escapement that is so fun to watch as the clock runs. The dial as you can see is near perfect as well as the rest of the clock. Now get this: the clock was made most likely in 1894 or maybe a year or two newer. It sold for $43.00 then, so you know it is way above average clock. It weighs about 35 pounds and is 23 1/2 inches high, 19 &1/2inches wide and 9 inches deep.
