Time to let go of my vintage Fisher AL-1 mountain bike.
The bike is from 1989, when I bought it in Scotts Valley CA to ride in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I primarily rode in Henry Cowell State Park but also Santa Cruz and surrounding areas. The bike has been well maintained and stored inside for its life.
New tires and tubes, and fresh lube on the chain and shifters. Works well.
I am 5' 5" and it fits perfectly. I bought this originally because it fit me so well. This could be a great bike for a younger child or short adult like me. The bike is amazingly light but strong. Even though it is a rigid frame (no shocks) it has a lively feel to it and is very quick.
This bike has an integrated pump built into the seat post, and it still works!
I haven't ridden the bike for several years now, and it is time for a new owner. Just put on the new tires as the old ones were toast.
I have a bike box for shipping and experience doing this. I will partially disassemble the bike to fit, but only as much as needed.
