If you have never had a truly powerful brake that actual modulates, they may surprise you. I have used Hope V4's and Quadiems on the same terrain and these are more powerful than each of them. They deliver much more brake control than shimano, no surprise there. I didn't have even one instance of wandering bite point, or fade. After bedding in, they remained noise free, even in 1/2" of rain.

Brand new set, $165 ea side. A4 $195 ea
