I purchased this for my 27.5" bike. I used it for one weekend at sunrise, and fell in love with it. For local riding the crown is too high for my frames geometry. This fork will easily accomodate a 3.0" wide tire.
The fit damper on this is perfect, no more guesswork with high and low speed damping. Infinite single compression damping adjustment to full lockout in half a turn of one simple knob. Simplicity that works. The bottom rebound adjustment is similarly effective. It also has a cap that threads over the knob to fully protect it from hits. The top preload adjustment is useful for setting sag. If you are in the market for something better on Geronimo, this is not going to disappoint.
Currently set to 180mm with the firm spring. I am 200lbs plus gear, using the medium spring. I can change it out to the soft spring for $50, if you are under 160lb. The travel is easily reconfigured to 160mm or 180mm without any additional parts. The tapered steer tube is 7.9". Crown race included. It is in perfect condition, only in need of an aggressive owner.
I paid a bit close to $800 I am taking a hit on the price. The truth is, if you have not ever used a coil fork on your deep travel or shuttle bike, this will change your riding on tech.
