Bell double shell helmet, which means it has 2 inner shells that slide independently of each other, one is EPS, and one is EPP (memory), the inner shell is the more memory head contact layer, and the outer eps shell is what absorbs external impact energy by deforming and cracking. What's the point? Until now it has been difficult to build a lightweight helmet certified for bike life saving, yet still reduce concussion severity. These dual shell helmets offer superior concussion protection compared to traditional singles shell, even MIPS helmets.
One other thing that is super important here, ventilation. This is THE BEST ventilation found in a dual shell helmet, it is best when the visor is not in the full down position also. Speaking of which, this visor is actually useful, and has shielded many sunsets for me. I am 60cm and this helmet is a very good fit for someone with an even larger head.
Retails for $265 with tax, selling for $175 New. Also have an identical lightly used one for $99. Don't budget your brain. This fits large heads. Can also be converted to a full face with the mated chin bar (not included). I have a few other helmets, see them at the "more ads by this user" link.
