Convert your old triple ring bike to a single or double ring with one of these. Using a large cage derailleur, you will also need a wolftooth link (I have them for $10) that makes the derailleur hanger a bit longer. Chains available also. These use a carrier to connect 7 of the rings, only 2 are independent. When I remove the used one, there was no banging or prying involved.

As an advanced technical rider I use 9-speed drivetrains exclusively on state of the art carbon frames, and this cassette is perfect for a XC bike with a 28/38t double, or a single 36 front ring for a xc settup. Or use a single 30t oval for technical climbing on a full suspension. (Pro tip: the smaller chainring offer more anti-squat for climbing on FS linkage bikes like pivot).

The used cassette has about 100 miles on it.
