I have a nice Johnson 70 HP outboard motor that was manufactured in 1975.
It came with a boat/trailer that I purchased and I am not interested in the motor.
It appears to be intact and in fairly good condition.
I have conducted a compression / spark check and both are in good working condition.
I have started the motor with starting fluid however I have not hooked up a fuel tank due to the fact that the impeller is probably in need of replacement.
It could also use a thorough cleaning.
I am currently in the process of doing a "Link and Sync" tune up, changing the impeller/housing gaskets and adding new gear oil to the lower unit along replacing any broken or missing parts.
Obviously the more work I do and money I spend the more the price will go up.
It also comes with the control box, wiring harness and ignition key.
It does need new gear and throttle cables as the old ones are
frayed and basically do not work.
