My father was a Graduate Gemologist, jewelry designer/maker, photographer, woodworker -- an all-around creative man. For years, he and my mother had a nice jewelry store and gallery in the fashionable 5th Avenue Shops in Old Town Scottsdale. He passed away and I've been selling many of his items for my mother. After almost a year we're still pulling items out of his workshop, lol.
These were found in a tray mixed with various types of gemstones. I guess my dad considered these nice enough to use for something in the future, and it looks like he was starting to work with a couple of round pieces. I'm not a gemologist or rockhound who would know exactly what this is but my mother believes it's fossilized palm, but someone online thinks they may be petrified wood, so I'll let you decide. Each one of these has a smooth polished side which makes it ready for use in jewelry.
I'm not sure how to price this lot other than doing preliminary searches on eBay and gem and mineral retail websites, and my best guess is that this lot would sell retail for around $45, so you can have them at wholesale for $20.
Selling as a lot only.
You're welcome to come over any day of the week during the afternoon hours of 12:00 - 6:00. My wife and I work from home but one of us will be able to get away from our computers to take an afternoon work break and show these to you.
