Here is one of the more beautiful chess sets that I have come across in some time.
First off, it was designed by the former pewter artist Michael Ricker. In the pictures below, you'll see the signed off CofA. This is set number 58. From what I have been able to look up, his chess sets usually were cast up to 200 sets. So 58 out of 200. ;)
Now, all 32 pieces are here. In great condition. No breaks or scratches or blemishes.
The board is what came with the set and has a medallion glued on the side as you can see in the pics.
Kings are just a hint over 4" tall with the pawns being in the 3" size.
If you go out to the internet, you'll see the asking prices to be all over the place but all above the price here! Hoping to find another civil war buff who has the time and place to display this set as I had hoped too. :)
