This is an original vintage (over 25 years old) Chess set of the Original Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace. It has been opened to take pictures. I cut it so that the cellophane wrapper is still on it. That is the glare that you see. The pieces were never taken out of the box. It really is a beautiful colorful chess set. Sure to go up in value. I believe the board actually sits on a frame or sits in a square stand. It is really cool. The Pawns are ARTOO UNITS (R2-D2) and Battle Droids.
