For the last 9 years, I've been using this Samurai for car shows and have classic car insurance with Grundy. With classic car insurance in Arizona, you no longer need yearly emissions testing. But if you fail an emissions test, you can't just go get classic car insurance. So this Samurai was passing emissions before converting to classic car insurance. It has all stock emissions and original carb in place, in case you want normal insurance.
At every show I get people who tell me this is the cleanest Samurai they've seen. I purchased this on 5/10/2017 with 63,203 actual miles, as displayed on my current title. It now shows just over 69,000 miles. The original owner purchased this in California and I have the original sale papers. It was registered in Arizona after that and I purchased it from a couple in Prescott, Arizona.
The first thing I did after purchase was changed all fluids and adjusted the valves. I've also changed the timing belt, when the water pump needed replacement. This is a non-interference engine, which means if the belt ever breaks, damage is unlikely.
The reason for the sale is I purchased a 2026 Subaru BRZ, which needs the garage space the Samurai has occupied since 2017. I'll be 70 soon and recently retired, which is the reason for the change in toy vehicles.
Hagerty chose the Samurai in their 2022 Bull Market Report and see attached two photos from last year's edition on how it fared over the last few years in pricing. Of course, these are for stockers in great condition, not the normally lifted and trashed ones often found for sale,
Call and talk to me about it, but you'll likely want to text me first, saying you'll be calling me, so that I answer. Scammers never read this last point and I just ignore the scammers. So let me repeat, text first, then call, or I'll be ignoring you. Emails likely unanswered as well.
