Pair of Definitive Technology BP7006 Bipolar Tower Speakers with Built-In Powered Subwoofers. These are a matched pair of Definitive Technology BP7006 floor-standing speakers from the Bipolar SuperTower series. Known for their immersive, lifelike soundstage, these towers feature:
- Bipolar design: Front- and rear-firing drivers (two 4.5" midrange + 1" aluminum dome tweeters per side) for wide dispersion and enveloping audio – perfect for music or home theater.
- Built-in powered subwoofers: Each tower has an 8" active sub driven by a 150-300W Class D amp, plus passive radiators for tight, powerful bass down to ~17Hz – no separate sub needed.
- Slim, elegant piano-black cabinets with gloss top plates – sleek and unobtrusive (about 38" tall, slim footprint).
Originally retailed for around $650 each – these are built like tanks with high-quality drivers and bracing for distortion-free performance.
Condition & Disclosure:
These have been carefully stored for several years. They were in perfect working order when put into storage (no issues with drivers, amps, or cosmetics). Cosmetically, they're in very good shape with minimal signs of prior use – grilles intact, no major scratches or damage. However, I have not powered them up recently and have no setup to test them now. Sold as-is, untested.
