I've been shopping for contemporary style lamps and just couldn't find a torchiere that I a) loved and b) could afford. (Two thousand dollars for a lamp? Really?!) So I began shopping online where what you see isn't always what you get. With some trepidation, I ordered this Torchiere in satin steel and hoped for the best. Guess what? The best is what I got.
Not only is the Torchiere beautiful, but it is also substantial making it look like a MUCH more expensive lamp. There wasn't a thing wrong with it - not a scratch, ding, or chip ... not even a flaw in the lovely glass shade. Takes up to 150 watt bulbs maximum so you have the possibility of lots of light if you need it as I did. By the way, there's a dimmer included with the on/off switch located on the lamp's pole and it works just fine.
All in all, this lamp is a great buy. It looks beautiful in my home and I'm receiving lots of compliments on it.
