The Role:

The Client Services Human Resources Director serves as a key point of contact for College representatives by proactively supporting and coordinating the delivery of effective HR services and programs to meet the needs of the District’s employees. The HR Client Services Director leads a team of HR professionals to provide integrated and high-quality HR services as well as advice to internal clients. The HR Client Services Director builds strategic business relationships with the internal Colleges and actively identifies critical issues or gaps. The HR Client Services Director will design and implement HR service delivery programs and processes in support of the goals of the colleges, departments and/or business units.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in human resources, business or related field and (6) six years of progressively responsible human resources experience that includes (2) two years of supervisory experience with the administration of policies and procedures, advanced, complex analysis and program oversight.

OR

Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and (8) eight years of progressively responsible human resources experience that includes (2) two years of supervisory experience with the administration of policies and procedures, advanced, complex analysis and program oversight.

OR

High school diploma or G.E.D. and (10) ten years of progressively responsible human resources experience that includes (2) two years of supervisory experience with the administration of policies and procedures, advanced, complex analysis and program oversight.

DESIRED QUALIFCATIONS:

MBA or Master's Degree in Human Resource discipline
Experience in a client service environment, handling multiple external clients, and presenting ideas and programs to executives.
Demonstrated experience with employment law, staffing, compensation, employee relations, and labor relations.
Experience in organizational development, training, faculty and staff assistance, and benefits.
Ability to think strategically and to understand a client's underlying business and organizational issues.
Ability to understand the business and the organization's strategy, and achieve results.
Experience working in a higher education environment or large government agencies.
Exercising independent judgments, prioritizes work, and maintains confidentiality.
Experience in strategic planning and ability to apply strategic concepts in the development of successful Human Resource solutions.
Evidence of advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively summarize and present information.
Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office and G-Suite software.
Experience in data HRIS management, analysis and reporting skills.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of all State and Federal laws and regulations applicable to area of oversight.
Skill in examining and evaluating operations and developing and/or re-engineering operating strategies, systems, and procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with everyone at all levels within the organization. Operates from a perspective of People First.
Demonstrated organizational, management and presentation skills.
Excellent written, oral, and electronic communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in employee development and performance management skills.
HR professional certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and/or the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
